The California Insurance Wholesalers Association (CIWA), a professional trade association focused on California E&S insurance wholesalers, carriers and supporting entities, is pleased to announce an arrangement to bring CIWA members and affiliates of the Western States Surplus Lines Conference together for an exclusive, annual summer event.
The Summer Forum 2022 will take place in Monterey, CA on June 26-29. This longstanding member summit will include CIWA members and national surplus lines associations’ directors and board members. The event will feature an update on the California state of the regulatory and legislative landscape, industry-leading speakers, team-building activities, upgraded networking opportunities, and an exclusive schedule for surplus lines affiliates.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to integrate national surplus lines associations, increase our reach, and upgrade our annual summer member event,” said Kathy Schroeder, President of CIWA. “This will bring further convenience to E&S lines brokers and carriers in attendance and will ensure the most exciting forum yet.”
In the past, the Western States Surplus Lines Conference required various offices to take turns handling event planning and logistics. The new merged annual Summer Forum will take the burden away from individual offices, as it will be planned by CIWA’s managing agency, Direct Connection Advertising & Marketing.
“Producing this reimagined event has been an exciting venture,” said Anita Nevins, Founder and Co-CEO of Direct Connection Advertising & Marketing. “Our team has developed an experiential schedule with unique activities, robust presentations, and custom details. We’re looking forward to launching a streamlined experience that will benefit CIWA wholesale, carrier and supporting members.”
CIWA Summer Forum 2022 will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to spend time with members at a relaxed pace – creating personal connections and encouraging conversations that will build and enhance relationships.
CIWA is a nonprofit organization that focuses on advocacy, education and networking within the property and casualty segment of the insurance industry.
