Gamma Iota Sigma Announces Hiring of Two New Senior Staff

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), America’s premier risk management, insurance and actuarial-focused collegiate talent organization, today announced the hiring of two highly experienced senior staff: Lindsay Spann as vice president of development and equity initiatives, and Jazmin Jones as manager of chapter operations and university programs.

Lindsay Spann, MHRM, SHRM-CP, is a seasoned leader with more than a decade of experience leading diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Formerly the program manager of Culture and Engagement at IAT Insurance Group, Spann spearheaded employee engagement and DEI, collaborating with executives to foster a thriving organizational culture. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from James Madison University and a master’s in human resources management from The University of Richmond. Spann is also a certified professional through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP).

Jazmin A. Jones, MPH, CHES, is an experienced presenter, facilitator and speaker with strong communication and leadership skills. She previously worked as an assistant director of peer education initiatives at NASPA-Student Affairs Administrators in higher education, where she provided oversight and strategic planning for peer education programs and NASPA volunteer groups. Jones is pursuing her doctorate in educational administration from Texas A&M University, and earned a master of public health from Indiana University Bloomington, and a bachelor’s degree in health services management from Indiana University Purdue – University Indianapolis.
