INSTANDA launches UnderwriteMe

INSTANDA, the global provider of no-code insurance platform technology, is proud to announce its role in partnering with Great Plains Casualty Insurance to power the carrier’s commercial trucking package. With the successful self implementation completed in just four months, Great Plains projects INSTANDA’s digital innovations will contribute to a boost in revenue by a factor of eight over the next four years.

Great Plains built its product package, which includes trucking liability, physical damage, inland marine and general liability, using INSTANDA’s complete digital platform to manage its agent portal, product, rating modifications, document templates and policy administration.

“Like so many carriers, Great Plains needed to replace its in-house legacy system with a modern platform that would provide agility, speed and straight-through processing to help take the company to the next stage of its development,” noted INSTANDA Co-founder and CEO Tim Hardcastle. “INSTANDA’s flexibility is helping Great Plains achieve its growth goals by entering new markets and states in months, not years. We’re extremely pleased to work with them and serve as a valued resource in their ambitious growth strategy.”

Rented Mule Consulting, Great Plains’ implementation partner, drove the system selection, implementation, and integration processes during the conversion from Great Plains’ legacy system to the INSTANDA platform.

One of the key elements in this project was the successful integration of Verisk’s new cloud-based rating solution, Rating-as-a-Service (RaaS). That implementation provides the latest ISO commercial lines rating information.

Jonathan Howgate, Vice President of Great Plains Casualty comments, “We needed a modern core platform in order to attain our growth objectives. We also needed a solution that could develop an ISO-based trucking product. We engaged Rented Mule Consulting to help us find a flexible, cost-effective solution that could be implemented quickly. After looking at several systems, we chose INSTANDA and engaged Rented Mule to implement and maintain the system.”

Working with INSTANDA, Great Plains was able to implement the new platform quickly and efficiently, enabling the carrier to expand it’s reach and offerings to 19 new states in the US.
