NetVU today announced that its annual Accelerate conference scheduled for April 29-May 2 in Minneapolis has been canceled due to recommendations of the CDC and local health officials for public gatherings.

Accelerate is the premier learning and networking event for members of the independent agent and broker system who use Vertafore technology.

“The health and safety of our members and guests are our top priorities during this uncertain time,” says Jon Gorman, executive director, NetVU. “In our organization’s more than 40 years of existence, our annual user group meeting has never been canceled, and our leadership, staff, and volunteers are considering new and alternative options to deliver the quality education and networking opportunities planned for its members at Accelerate during the course of 2020 while looking ahead to Accelerate 2021 in Denver.”

“We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, business partners, Vertafore leadership and staff, board and committee leadership, and NetVU staff for the effort that has been put into Accelerate,” says Joe Clabaugh, chairman, NetVU executive board of directors. “We are especially grateful to the dedicated volunteers who have committed their time to developing educational content for Vertafore users.”

Gorman says the organization is communicating with registrants about refunds and will announce alternate networking and education opportunities in the near future.
