Tremor Technologies, Inc., the leading online reinsurance pricing and placing platform, is pleased to announce the launch of its Reinsurer Product Council, which includes the participation of eight global reinsurance companies and ILS funds representing nearly $100 billion in industry capital. Companies taking part include major US, Bermudan, and European reinsurers, as well as alternative capital providers.
“Tremor is on a mission to build a reinsurance marketplace that is transparent, price competitive, and cost effective for everyone.” Tremor allows reinsurers to express exactly what they want to authorize and ensures that they receive it through its market model and technology – all while keeping detailed, individual preferences confidential. Tremor is able to find optimal clearing prices for everyone at the same time, thanks to data and transparency. This strategy maximizes optimal trade for all parties.
Working directly with reinsurers as we continue to build features for the capacity side of our market is critical – not only to educate them on the benefits of authorizing capacity on the Tremor marketplace, but also to ensure their participation in the build process,” said Sean Bourgeois, Tremor CEO.
The product council will meet as a group quarterly for a progress update on platform activity, a review of aggregate market data, feature development progress, and to discuss the platform’s near and long-term product roadmap. Furthermore, the council will have the opportunity to meet with Tremor’s product team and executive leadership directly between meetings to discuss specific ideas and opportunities.
Tremor is thrilled that eight major reinsurers have already joined the council, with more expected to join soon. The product council is open to all reinsurers and ILS funds; for more information, contact Suzan Jo at Tremor at sjo@tremor.co.
The Reinsurer Product Council expands on Tremor’s recent release of the Tremor SandboxTM, which can be found at re.tremor.co/demos. Anyone, at any time, can sign up and try Tremor’s self-driven insurer and reinsurer demos. It’s all part of Tremor’s push for maximum transparency and efficiency in the future reinsurance market, which will benefit everyone.
