Venture Insurance Programs, a national insurance program administrator, has announced a strategic relationship with the American Red Cross to provide policyholders with convenient access to superior risk control resources, award recognition programs for lifesavers and discounted training backed by the unparalleled expertise of the Red Cross.

With this new relationship, Venture policyholders will gain access to a valuable emergency preparedness app, as well as several useful American Red Cross services, such as discounted AED (automated external defibrillator) and CPR training, water safety training, First Aid training and more.

The relationship is an industry first between an insurance program administrator and the American Red Cross and will serve policyholders in Venture Programs’ niche industries, including golf and country clubs, hotels, fitness centers and spas. The majority of resources come at no cost to policyholders.

“This relationship is a significant step forward for both Venture and the American Red Cross in terms of additional safety and risk control resources for our policyholders,” said Phillip Harvey, president, Venture Programs. “As the first in the industry to join forces with a storied and reputable institution like the American Red Cross, we take this relationship very seriously and are looking forward to bringing the best risk management resources and training available to our policyholders.”

The first service available through this relationship will be the emergency preparedness app, which will inform users of the main contacts in an emergency situation and give them preparedness tips and information. It will also outline a procedure for action once the situation has concluded.

Venture and the American Red Cross will be collaborating on a series of risk management resources in the months ahead to help policyholders not only prepare for disasters but manage and recover when they strike. Venture Risk Manager Janet Wright will be leading this effort and can be reached at jwright@ventureprograms.com. Leading this effort for the Red Cross will be Cait Waxler, aquatics specialist, along with Gewn Mcnamara, Northeast aquatics sales manager.
